Dr. Ramanathan Vairavan
Dr. Ramanathan Vairavan is the Founder and Chairman of Alagappa Academy. He is the grandson of Padma Bhushan Dr. R.M. Alagappa Chettiar, the legendary philanthropist and educationalist who established the Alagappa Group of Educational Institutions.
Dr. Vairavan holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from A.C. College of Technology (Anna University), an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Combining his global education with a deep commitment to his grandfather's vision, he founded Alagappa Academy in 2014 to bring modern CBSE education to Karaikudi and the surrounding region.
Beyond education, Dr. Vairavan also leads DiaCarta, a molecular diagnostics company, showcasing his versatility and commitment to innovation across multiple fields. His leadership brings a unique blend of international exposure, scientific rigour, and entrepreneurial spirit to Alagappa Academy.
