Founded on a Vision
Alagappa Academy was founded in 2014 by Dr. Ramanathan Vairavan with a clear mission: to bring high-quality CBSE education to Karaikudi and the Chettinad region. Situated on the serene Alagappapuram campus, the school offers a complete educational journey from LKG to Grade XII.
Our curriculum follows the CBSE framework with NCERT textbooks at its core, enriched by interactive events, role-playing activities, and hands-on learning that develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Every classroom is equipped with smart boards, and our qualified teaching staff provide individual attention to help each child reach their full potential.

The Alagappa Legacy
Alagappa Academy is part of the Alagappa Group of Educational Institutions, a legacy founded by Padma Bhushan Dr. R.M. Alagappa Chettiar over 80 years ago. Dr. Alagappa Chettiar was a legendary philanthropist and educationalist who believed that education is an absolute must for a human being to become productive, wholesome, and humane.
His grandson, Dr. Ramanathan Vairavan, continues this tradition by bringing modern CBSE education to the region. The Alagappa name is synonymous with academic excellence across Tamil Nadu, and Alagappa Academy upholds that reputation with a commitment to innovation, values, and student success.
